Trevor Patti, CEO, St Paul’s Lutheran Homes Hahndorf
[Trevor] walks the talk. He might have the CEO title but on every level he is grounded and approachable. All staff are able to go to him, he knows them by name, he is always available for anything his teams or the residents and their families might need. The culture has changed so much this year for the better and it’s mostly due to his passion for people and helping others be the best they can be.
Working in our sector it has taken a huge amount of fortitude and courage to ensure our residents are kept safe. Trevor has worked extremely long hours, without complaint, and supported the residents, their loved ones, his staff and The Board. He is extremely available to anyone who may need him and he has shown vulnerability but also strength of character. This is evident to anyone he interacts with.
Trevor has ensured throughout the pandemic that he communicates regularly with not only the residents but their loved ones and staff. His obvious passion and care for the sector have been so evident in the way he has gone above and beyond for anyone he thought might need help or reassurance. He also does a communication to staff weekly on anything he thinks is important, attends resident meetings and answers family questions personally.
