This talk is part of our annual Summer Series ’25: A week of an hour-long daily keynotes.

In this session Rachel Morgan-Trimmer, Neurodiversity Consultant, Author, and Founder of Firebird, demystifies neurodiversity, showing that inclusion isn’t complicated, but essential, and powerful. Drawing on her personal experience as both autistic and ADHD, she makes neurodiversity not only understandable, but deeply human. Rachel reframes neurodivergent conditions like dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and autism as differences, not deficits, and challenges the narrative that being neurodivergent means being “less than.” Using humorous, vivid metaphors (think pandas, cheetahs, and bowerbirds), she brings each condition to life and emphasises how organisations can unlock productivity, creativity, and loyalty by embracing the full spectrum of human brains.

She also makes a clear business case: neurodiversity isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a smart investment. Inclusion drives productivity and retention, and ultimately, profit.
