Inclusive employment. You can’t fake it

Inclusive employment. You can’t fake it

It is “National Inclusion” week in just over a fortnight. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to create a call to action to deliver genuine systemic cultural change through Diversity & Inclusion (D&I). The widening societal bias, inequality and discrimination we are seeing means that now really is the time to make that change happen in employment at the very least.

Barnett Waddingham is extending the support provided to the professional HR community during Covid-19 to include D&I. This is why I have produced this paper. It is a resource to help organisations with a desire to be genuinely inclusive, but who are not sure where to start and for those who need further help with moving their activities forward.

The need for Change is clear and the time for change is now

The time has come for many employers to prioritise and promote D&I much more than they have to date, to deliver systemic cultural change that creates genuinely diverse and inclusive employment. This is not just because of the business benefits, the employment imperative, or the legal requirements. It is also because now, more than ever, it is the right thing to do.
