Is IC measuring the ‘wrong’ thing?

Is IC measuring the ‘wrong’ thing?

Measuring the impact internal communication has on business results is the profession’s holy grail.

Research shows that currently, internal communication practitioners rely on employee engagement surveys to measure their impact. 73% put is as their preferred measurement tool followed by Intranet or online analytics (page views, etc.) and feedback from face-to-face events.

Today we explored whether internal communication functions are practising ‘wrong thinking.’ Our guest is Tony Cosgrove from internal communication experts, Masgroves. They argue the purpose of internal communication is not to impact business results at all – it is simply about making your business ‘better.’

And they argue this is what business leaders think, too.

Pop your headphones in (unless you think your neighbours will love this too), grab a cuppa and take 30 minutes to listen to our chat with Tony.

Hear what these 3 business leaders had to say too:

Geoff Love – CEO – Commify

Brian Hall – CCO – BHSF (and Regional Chair – West Midlands IOD)

Co-founder, Moneypenny and Founder & Trustee, WeMindTheGap
