Texthelp is a global inclusive technology leader with a mission to empower the literacy and learning of 1 billion people by 2030. Founded in 1996 by our CEO, Martin McKay, at a time when assistive technology was not widely explored. Martin’s advocacy for change was sparked by a significant life event when his father struggled to communicate following a stroke.

Since then, Texthelp’s tools and vision have evolved over 28 years to support a wider range of individuals in understanding and being understood at all stages of life. Our technology range has supported 250 million individuals in 150 countries in 6 continents. This includes children and adults, from education to the workplace, with disabilities, neurodivergent profiles or multilingual backgrounds. Our products span literacy, accessibility and numeracy tools, including Read&Write, Equatio and OrbitNote for education, and Read&Write and ReachDeck for the workplace.

We believe in building an inclusive future where everyone—regardless of ability—can reach their full potential. At Texthelp, we work with educational and organisational stakeholders to ensure learning and working environments are accessible and inclusive. More recently, as we work towards our mission of building an inclusive society, we have made significant efforts in bridging the gap between education and the workplace.
